COMMUNITY REPORTS

  • NEW MEETING LOCATION - It has been decided that HPAC will now be holding its meeting at the Highland Park Improvement club. Since we have access to the building year round, we will have meetings every month except December. HPIC holds a Christmas dance every year in December and everyone is invited to attend.
  • Please check out this website and send the link- http://highlandpk.net- to anyone who lives in Highland Park.
  • TRIFOLD - Dina Johnson has created an informational tri-fold about Highland Park. It's easy to read, and gives people an idea of what we are about. A definite move in the right direction. PDF link: HPAC BROCHURE . You can view and print the flyer from the website. This would be a great piece to give anyone new who's moving in to the neighborhood.

COMMUNITY POLICE REPORT -
Officer Adonis Topacio adonis.topacio@seattle.gov

  • 16th SW Grocery is open again. Questions as to why the liquor license was automatically reissued came up. Store owner son is a convicted felon and not eligible for a license. The activity/loitering have increased since the store reopened.
  • Graffiti in West Seattle has increased all across town. Plain clothes operation caught a lot the main perpetrators. They tend to turn in the other people that are also committing the crime. Some parents of the kids are involved and the kids will be cleaning up their artwork. A local store agreed not to sell spray paint to juveniles. If you see graffiti call Hotline: 206-684-7587 .
